Dr. Krishani Jayasinghe

Dr Krishani Jayasinghe is the Director – Academic and International Affairs at Saegis Campus in Nugegoda, Sri Lanka. She is also a Senior Lecturer at Saegis Campus and a Program Director of the Postgraduate Degree Programs offered by Canterbury Christ Church University in the UK. She has a PhD in Education, an MBA from the UK, and several other qualifications and certifications in management, computing, and education. She has published several research papers on topics such as job satisfaction, leadership style, time management, and academic achievement. She has over 21 years of experience in teaching and administration in higher education institutions in Sri Lanka. She has also been involved in various academic activities such as curriculum development, quality assurance, external and internal verification, student counselling, staff training, corporate training, etc… 

Dr. Krishani Jayasinghe is a well-qualified and experienced academic who has a passion for teaching and learning. She is also a visionary and a dynamic leader who has contributed to the development and growth of the Saegis Campus as well as the other campuses she has worked for. She is one of the key figures in the management and academic staff of Saegis Campus. 

With a distinguished career spanning more than twenty years, Dr. Krishani boasts a wealth of experience encompassing teaching, thesis supervision for both undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as administrative roles. Her educational journey includes earning an undergraduate degree in Information Technology from the prestigious BCS Chartered Institute for IT in the UK, followed by the attainment of an MBA from the University of Wolverhampton, UK. Dr Krishani furthered her academic prowess by achieving a PhD in Education from Aldersgate University. Complementing her academic achievements, she completed a certificate program in teaching in higher education at the University of Kelaniya. Dr Krishani’s expertise lies in the fields of management, human resource management, intercultural communication, and operations management, making her a valuable asset in these domains of study.

​With over 21 years of administrative experience, including roles as Dean of the Faculty of Management, Humanities & Social Sciences, and Head of Departments at various institutions, this individual has showcased their leadership capabilities. She has also demonstrated extensive experience in international partnerships, quality assurances, and validations, spanning more than 15 years, and has taken on key roles in program development, curriculum development and external verifications and audits. In addition to her administrative roles, She brings over 21 years of teaching experience, with a focus on management, computing, and information technology fields. Dr Krishani’s commitment to education is further evident through her extensive involvement in thesis and project supervision for both undergraduate and postgraduate programs, totalling more than 18 years. Overall, this individual possesses a rich and diverse background, underlining their dedication to academia, administration, and ensuring the quality of educational programs.
